We are looking for hard working, enthusiastic individuals who love working with children to join our supply list of Primary School Arabic Teaching Assistants, at our Saar Campus. The supply teaching assistants’ core purpose is to support the learning of children at all times and to ensure the work of the class teacher is fully supported, in the absence of the ‘regular’ teaching assistant. Duties will include the management of classroom organisation and resources. Teamwork, positivity and a ‘can-do approach’ are integral to this position. Also fundamental to the role are professionalism and the highest level of confidentiality.

Please note: there are no guaranteed hours for supply work and the demand will vary across each year group. Supply staff are required when a permanent member of staff is off eg. when a staff member is unwell and therefore we will often need supply staff at very short notice.

Applicants must be able to read, write and speak English to a very high standard.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Saar Campus

Hours: 07:30-14:45, Sunday-Thursday

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Excellent Arabic - both spoken and written.
  • Excellent English - both spoken and written.
  • Previous experience working with children in school.

  • A proven ability to work effectively on their own initiative and collaboratively in a team environment
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to adults and children.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.

Please note the following BEFORE you submit an application at St Christopher’s:

  • We require that applicants are already resident in Bahrain at the time of appointment.
  • Bahraini nationals must not be registered as owning any businesses or hold any company sponsorships.
